Want To Be Rich?

We are blessed. We are blessed in more ways and more times than we can count. Each heart beat and each breath that we take is a blessing. However, we want more. We want to be rich. We want more for our kids that we had as kids.

Maybe if we changed how we behaved towards The Lord, we would receive even more blessings.

"... Blessed is the man that feareth The Lord, that delighteth greatly in His commandments ... his seed shall be mighty upon the earth ... wealth and riches shall be in his house ..." Psalms 112:1-3

You and your kids will be blessed and you will be rich if you fear The Lord and keep His two commandments.

Fear of God is to hold Him in reverential awe, to have a great admiration for Him. I wonder if we "delight greatly" in His Word and if we keep His commandments. Do we really love God with all of our heart and soul, and do we love our neighbor as we love our selves?

"The fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do His commandments ..." Psalms 111:10 Maybe if we did a better job of keeping His commandments, He would bless us even more than He already has.

Remember, the Bible says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33 If you want more blessings, try being more like Christ.
