The Power of Corporate Prayer

There is power in corporate prayer. When the people of God come together and pray, there is power in their prayer.

After the apostle James was killed by king Herod, Peter was apprehended and put into prison to be killed also. But the prayers of the church folk was heard and the angel of the Lord came to Peter. Peter was chained to two soldiers. The angel spoke and the chains fell from Peter. Then he led Peter past the guards and into the city and departed. Acts 12:1-10

Peter was in a bad situation. I'm sure that he prayed for himself, given the circumstances. However, the Bible says that "prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him." Acts 12:5

If you really need help, pray for yourself and ask the church to also pray for you. When the people of God come together and pray, there is power in their prayer.
