Don't Be A Stumbling Block

Have you ever caused someone to fall? I don't mean to physically fall down. I mean, have you caused someone to sin or join you in a sinful activity?

"So then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another anymore; but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way." Romans 14:12-13

As Christians, we should not condemn, criticize, or speak negatively of anyone "... anymore ..." We have all done it and we need to stop doing it. We should not tear them down verbally, or cause them to fall spiritually.

Don't be a "... stumbling block ..." and don't put one in someones way. Let's not do or say anything intentionally that would cause another person to sin. We need to exhibit Christian behavior at all times. Someone may see or hear us as we sin and then imitate our sinful behavior. Worse yet, that someone imitating us might be a child.

The Bible says, "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a milestone hanged about his neck, and that he drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences ..." Matthew 18:6-7

Let us ask God for forgiveness and pray that we are not some one's stumbling block.
