A truly blessed man is joyful, happy, and enjoys the favor of The Lord. He avoids evil influences
and avoids the companionship of evil-doers. He finds pleasure in The Word of God daily and lives a godly life. Like a tree, he is strong and steadfast in The Lord. His efforts are productive, fruitful, and beneficial to others. It is the will of God that allows him to prosper and enjoy a life of good fortune.
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of The Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." Psalms 1:1-3
This is the kind of person that we should all strive to be like. He delights in God's Word and lives a godly life and God blesses him with prosperity. He did not seek prosperity first.
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33
