Ever wonder why good Christian folk get sick, suffer major illnesses or have serious accidents? Sometimes it is not a punishment for sins but it is part of God's plan.
When Lazarus was sick, Jesus said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that The Son of God might be glorified thereby." John 11:1-4
As I have stated previously, bad things can happen to good people. We may not always understand why because we do not see the big picture. All things happen for a reason.
Before He raised Lazarus from the dead, Jesus prayed, "Father ... because of the people which stand by ... that they may believe ..." John 11:41-42
"... All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
Maybe bad things happen to us so that the people around us can see God working in our lives that they might believe. So continue to walk the Christian walk, even when the world around you seems to be falling apart. To God be the glory!
