Faith Hope And Trust

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen ." (KJV)

The author here provides two truths about faith. One, faith is an absolute assurance of being granted our future hopes. Two, faith provides us with a conviction in the realities that are as yet unseen. This shows an absolute trust in God.

You know that your faith is strong when you know that what you hope for will come. And when you know this without seeing anything in the present to suggest that it is true. Faith gives us the confidence to keep going on, in spite of whatever, because we know that the good that God promised us is coming. It is impossible to please God without faith. (Hebrews 11:6)
