Kept Protected And Sustained

"I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because The LORD sustains me."  Psalms 3:5 (NIV)

King David knew that it was The Lord God who watched over him while he slumbered and slept.  He also knew that it was The Lord who woke him up in the morning.  He announced  to the people of God that he knew that it was The Lord God who sustained him day and night.

We need to thank The Lord God each day for all that He did yesterday to protect and bless us.  We need to thank Him for watching over us and keeping us safe all night last night.  We also need to thank Him for blessing us and waking us up this morning.  We are only able to wake up, and to get up, because God blesses us and sustains us.  We ought to thank Him and praise Him for who He is and for what He has done for us each day. (Psalms 34:1, Psalms 50:14, Psalms 69:30, and Psalms 100:4-5)  We should be thankful unto Him for He is good, and He is good to us.
