Christian Conduct

"Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ..." Philippians 1:27 (NIV)

While he was in prison in Rome
, the Apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Philippi to encourage them to behave in a manner which was consistent with the gospel of Christ.  He told them that even if they suffer, as he was suffering, they should continue to stand fast in the faith, and they should be of one mind and one spirit, that of Christ. (Philippians 2:5)

We should also conduct ourselves in a manner which is worthy of the gospel of Christ.  Our behavior should be Christ-like regardless of where we are, what we are doing, and who is present and watching us.  The Lord God sees all that we do. (Job 28:24 and 34:21)  He also sees our heart and knows what our intentions are for our actions. (1 Samuel 16:7 and Psalms 94:11)  That is why we need to pray that The Good Lord would create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. (Psalms 51:10)  That is the only way that we can consistently make the right choices and
conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.
