"If The Lord delights in a man's way, He makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for The Lord upholds him with His hand." Psalms 37:23-24 (NIV)
In this psalm David states that even a strong good man must be guided and supported by The Lord. And even if he stumbles, he will be upheld by the hand of God. The righteous will do the right thing and God will bless them for it.
A righteous man is directed by The Lord. God is pleased when we follow His Word. Although we may stumble, sin, or suffer material loss, we will recover from our temporary setbacks, because we are in God's hand. Our daily prayer ought to be, "Please, Lord, order my steps in Your Word."
