Near the end of His now well known sermon on the mount, Jesus taught the people this lesson, which we now refer to as the golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you."
The golden rule may be stated a number of different ways, but simply stated it means for us to treat people like we would like to be treated. This simple Christian principal is easy to do if we have the love of Christ within us. If we would repeat this principal to ourselves before we speak or do something for or to someone, we would probably demonstrate a Christ-like behavior.
