"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV)
As part of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught the people that there are two ways to live ones live. One way is to follow the narrow path, which is to live by faith, God's way, and follow His teachings. This way leads to salvation, heaven, and eternal life. The second way is to follow the well travelled wide path, the worldly non-Christian ways, which lead to destruction and eternity in hell.
Either we follow His way and take the narrow, less traveled way, or we take the worldly wide path and follow the crowd. In life's journey, each of us will come to a fork in the road and we must make a choice. We either choose to follow Him or we don't. There are consequences to either choice. However, I would rather take my chances with Him in this live and the next one. I would not want to live my life without Christ, so I am going to walk the narrow road and enter the small gate. The question is: Which road are you going to take?
