Sometimes We Talk Too Much

"A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid a man who talks too much." Proverbs 20:19 (NIV)

King Solomon, the wisest man ever, said that one who spreads gossip reveals secrets and should not be trusted but should be avoided because they talk too much.

People who gossip to you will also gossip about you. If they will tell you someone's secrets, they will tell your secrets to someone else. Avoid people who talk too much and do not be one of them. We cannot hear well or reflect when we are talking. Quiet time is not just for kids, some adults should spend more time in quiet time and talk less. We should spend more time quietly reflecting on what God has done for us and less time talking about the personal affairs of others.
