"Yet The Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For The Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him! O people ... you will weep no more. How gracious He will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you. Although The Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.' " Isaiah 30:18-21 (NIV)
The Prophet Isaiah to the rebellious people that because they would not listen to or obey The Word of God, the they would endure the wrath of God. But those people who remained faithful and waited upon The Lord would be blessed. Their prayers would be answered and God would be with them and guide them through adversity and during times of affliction.
Jesus The Christ, quoted and read to the people from the Book of Isaiah (Matthew 13:14 and Luke 4:16-21). So it is my belief that for those of us who believe, keep the faith, and wait on The Lord, will be blessed. Our prayers will be answered, He will be with us during times of trouble, and He will protect us and direct us as long as we listen to His voice.
