"Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying The Truth through The Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently..." 1 Peter 1:22
As Christians we are commanded to love one another. Once we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal saviour, we, with the help of The Holy Spirit, must really love our fellow man and not just with half-hearted efforts.
When we say 'love' we usually mean 'like, lust, or infatuation', and not the unlimited love of God. The best that we can do is offer a sincere brotherly love, and that requires the aide of The Holy Spirit.
We are to love one another fervently, without hypocrisy, from a pure heart and not with manipulative, self-serving intentions. We need to pray for God's help to love each other in a Christ-like manner.
