Therefore I Have Hope

"I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassion's never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him." The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." Lamentation 3:19-26 (NIV)

When we think of all that we have been through, all that He has brought us through, it becomes much easier to keep our faith and hope in God alive and strong. Thanks to God's goodness, His grace and mercy, and His love for us, He forgives us and continues to bless us in spite of how we think and act, and how we treat Him. Great is His faithfulness! "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness..."
