"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." Matthew 5:6 (NIV)
As part of The Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught that those who really seriously sought after God's righteousness would receive it. According to John Mac Arthur, they will have a right relationship with God. Thomas Nelson says that they will enjoy a complete satisfaction which only God can give them.
The Word of God is powerful, it can do what nothing else can do. The Word of God caused the heavens, and the earth, and everything therein to come into existence. We must recognize only God is truly righteous, and for us to be righteous we must share His righteousness. To those who diligently study His Word, God will share His power. To those who truly seek His righteousness, like a hungry person seeks food and a thirsty person seeks a drink, they will be satisfied.

Rejoice And Praise The Lord
"Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek The Lord rejoice. Look to The Lord and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced." 1 Chronicles 16:10-12 (NIV)
After the ark of the covenant had been recovered, David gave thanks and praised The Lord, and he encouraged the people to do likewise. The ark represented the presence of God and they celebrated having it with them again.
The presence of The Lord is cause for celebration, and He is always with us so we should always be joyful. When the world tries to get us down, we should look to Him and His strength, remember what He has done for us in the past, remember all of the wonderful things that He has done, and remember His promise never to leave us or forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5) For that we should give Him praise, honor, and glory, and always be joyful.

Be Strong And Do The Good Work
"And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge The God of your father, and serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for The Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever. Consider now, for The Lord has chosen you to build a temple as a sanctuary. Be strong and do the work." 1 Chronicles 28:9-10 (NIV)
After his many blessing and victories in the name of The Lord, King David wanted to build a temple to God to house the ark of the covenant (1 Chronicles 28: 2), which contained the stone tablets of the ten commandments. God told David that his son Solomon would build the temple. (1 Chronicles 28:3) Here David is telling Solomon to follow The Lord and do a good work. David was also talking to all of the people, "Hear me, my brethren, and my people ..." 1 Chronicles 28:2
We do not always get to do what we want or what we plan to do. Everything happens according to God's plan. We should acknowledge God and serve Him wholeheartedly and willingly. We may not be charged with building a temple, but we are all charged with kingdom building here on earth.

Why Are Times So Hard For Us?
To Adam God said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life ... By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return." Genesis 3:17-19 (NIV)
After the original sin in the garden of Eden, man blamed the woman, and the woman blamed the serpent. God gave us free will and we did not choose wisely. For this reason we will suffer
hard times all the days of our lives. In sin we are conceived (Psalms 51:5), and we are servants to sin (Romans 6:6) until we give our lives to Christ. Every man born of a woman woman will live but a few days and those will be full of trouble (Job 14:1).
Things will not really get better for us until we change, humble ourselves, and pray, and turn from our wicked ways, and seek Him (2 Chronicles 7:14), then God will hear and answer our prayers.

Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33
God knows all of our needs, for food, for drink, for clothing, for lodging, for health, and for everything else. In fact, He knows what we will need before the need exists, and He can supply all of our needs.
God wants us to put Him first, to seek salvation, to seek Him and His righteous ways above everything else. When we commit our lives to Him, He will give us everything that we need.
We need to continually strive to get our spiritual life in order and making that our first priority, and God will take care of our material and physical needs.
