God Supplies All We Need To Do A Good Work

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."  2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)

The Apostle Paul said that God was able to give them all of the spiritual and physical things that they needed in order to do, and to continue to do a good work for Him by helping others. 

God can and does bless us with all that we need so that we can be a blessing to others.  When we are doing a good work for Him, we will be blessed.  Demonstrating the love of God by helping others is doing a very good work.  He who blesses others shall himself also be blessed.  (Proverbs 11:25)

According To His Riches

"And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

After thanking the Philippians for the gifts that they had given him, the Apostle Paul told them that God would bless them and supply all of their needs because of their generosity shown towards him.

God is rich, everything on earth belongs to Him because He made all of it.  He is able to supply all of our needs.  He decides just how much He wants to share with whom.  However, this is a conditional blessing.  God is clearly pleased with those who help His people.  When a man of God or a child of God prays and asks Him to bless someone who has been good to them, you can believe that prayer will be answered.  "Give and it shall be given unto you ..."  (Luke 6:38)  "He that blesses others shall himself be blessed."  (Proverbs 11:25)

Jesus Can Turn A Little Into A Lot

"When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed their sick. As evening approached, the disciples came to Him and said, "This is a remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food." Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat." "We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered. "Bring them here to me," He said. And He directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketful's of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children." Matthew 14:14-21 (NIV)

Jesus had compassion for the crowd that had followed Him. He took care of their physical needs, He healed the sick and fed them all. He took a little, a small boy's lunch (John 6:9), blessed it, fed them all, and there was more food left over when they finished than when they began (John 6:13).

Likewise, Jesus can take care of our needs. He can bless the little that we have and make it sufficient to cover our needs. We are all better off with Jesus than we were before we had Him in our lives. He knows what we need. He can bless us, heal us, provide for us, and supply our needs. We just have to believe in Him and trust Him. Whatever it is that we need, He can supply. As He told Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

God knows all of our needs, for food, for drink, for clothing, for lodging, for health, and for everything else. In fact, He knows what we will need before the need exists, and He can supply all of our needs.

God wants us to put Him first, to seek salvation, to seek Him and His righteous ways above everything else. When we commit our lives to Him, He will give us everything that we need.

We need to continually strive to get our spiritual life in order and making that our first priority, and God will take care of our material and physical needs.

God Shall Supply All Your Needs

"But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

In the context in which this verse was written, it implies that if you are doing His will, He will take care of you. You will not suffer because of sacrificial giving to help others. As you give to meet the needs of others, God will bless you and meet your needs.

In Luke 6:38, Jesus says "Give, and it shall be given unto you ... For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you."

My Father Is Rich

"But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

You may occasionally catch me no money in my pockets, but I am not broke or poor. I may be financially embarrassed at a particular moment in time, but I am rich because my heavenly Father is rich.

Everything on this earth belongs to Him, "For the earth is The Lord's and the fullness thereof." 1 Corinthians 10:26 He has the resources to supply all your needs.

He has the power to supply all your needs. "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, 'All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.'" Matthew 28:18

He knows what you need. "... For your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him." Matthew 6:8

Whatever you need, God's got it, and He is ready, willing, and able to supply all your needs.
