THE POWER OF THE ARK OF GOD

PROCLAMATION

“And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of The Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.”  1 Samuel 5:4 (KJV)

 

EXPLANATION

These words were written under the influence of The Holy Spirit of God by the prophet Samuel.   After the Philistines captured the ark of God they took it from the city of Ebenezer to Ashdod and placed it beside the statue of their god Dagon. (1 Samuel 5:1-2)  The next day they arose to find that Dagon had fallen on his face, on the ground before the ark of The Lord.  They picked Dagon up and put him back in his place.  On the following morning they arose and again found Dagon had fallen on his face, but this time his head and both hands were broken off and they were lying upon the threshold of the temple. (1 Samuel 5:3-5)  The people of Ashdod were afflicted with tumors so they moved the ark to Gath.  When the ark arrived in Gath, the young and the old were afflicted with tumors. (1 Samuel 5:6-9)  So they sent the ark to Ekron.  As the ark entered Ekron the people cried out against it, saying that it would kill them.  Then they asked the leaders of the Philistines to send the ark of The Lord away and let it go back to its own place. (1 Samuel 5:10-11)

 

APPLICATION

Our bad times and bad situations do not reflect a diminished power of The Lord God, or a loss of His control.  The Philistines had defeated the Israelites and captured the ark of God, but The Lord punished the people wherever they took it.  Even those people who do not believe in The Lord God will be made to respect His power.  The day will soon come when everyone will respect the power of The Lord God.  For as it is written, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Christ is The Lord. (Romans 14:11)

  

THE TWELVE STONES FROM THE JORDAN RIVER

PROCLAMATION

“And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that The Lord spake unto Joshua, saying, ‘Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man, and command ye them, saying, ‘Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.’ ’ ”  Joshua 4:1-3 (KJV)

 

EXPLANATION

These are the words of God which were revealed to and written by Joshua under the influence of The Holy Spirit of God.  After the people had crossed the Jordan on dry ground, The Lord told Joshua to have twelve men, one from each of the twelve tribes, to each pick a large stone from the middle of the Jordan and carry it with them to the place where they would camp for the night.  The priests who were carrying the ark remained standing in the middle of the Jordan on dry ground until Joshua commanded them to come out.  When they came out and the last priest set his foot on the shore, the waters of the Jordan river returned to their place at flood stage. (Joshua 4:1-18)  Joshua set up the stones in a special arrangement to commemorate their crossing the Jordan, and to serve as a marker for future generations to question and to be told what The Lord God did for them on that day. (Joshua 4:19-24)

 

APPLICATION

The Lord will make a way.  Even when there appears to be no way, The Lord will make a way.  He made a way for the children of Israel to cross The Red Sea to flee from the Egyptians, (Exodus 14:21-22) and He made a way for them to cross the Jordan River to enter the promised land. (Joshua 3:17 to 4:1)  There is nothing too hard for The Lord God. (Jeremiah 32:17)  There is not problem that we have today that He cannot handle.  That pillar made of the twelve stones taken from the Jordan is there as a reminder to us today of the power of God.

THE BIRTH OF ISAAC

PROCLAMATION

“And The Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and The Lord did unto Sarah as He had spoken.  For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.  And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.”  Genesis 21:1-3 (KJV)

 

EXPLANATION

These are the words of God which were revealed to and written by Moses under the influence of The Holy Spirit of God.  Just as God had promised, Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son. (Genesis 21:1-3)  Abraham was a hundred years old when Isaac was born (Genesis 21:5) and Sarah was ninety. (Genesis 17:17)  When Isaac was weaned, Abraham held a great feast for him.  During the feast Sarah saw Ishmael the son of Hagar mocking Isaac and she told Abraham to get rid of Hagar and Ishmael. (Genesis 21:8-10)  This distressed Abraham, but God told him to listen to Sarah so, he sent them away. (Genesis 21:11-14)  The Lord God provided for Hagar and Ishmael while they were in the desert because he was Abraham’s son. (Genesis 21:15-21)  The chapter ends with a discussion of the covenant between Abraham and Abimelech king of Gerar. (Genesis 21:22-34)

 

APPLICATION

Abraham was a very old man, and his wife Sarah was well past the childbearing age and was childless when The Lord God caused her to conceive and bare a son.  With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)  Believers can do all things through Christ. (Philippians 4:13)  If we believe and have the faith we can move mountains. (Matthew 17:20)  Our problem is even though we read God’s Holy Word, we don’t really believe it and we don’t obey it.  If we would humble ourselves and pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways, He would forgive us. (2 Chronicles 7:14)  If we would believe and obey and step out on faith, then we could do things through Christ that are impossible for man.  Remember, the Apostle Peter walked on water while he kept his focus on Christ. (Matthew 14:29)

 

TO TOUCH OR TO BE TOUCHED BY CHRIST

TO TOUCH OR TO BE TOUCHED BY CHRIST

PROCLAMATION

“And wherever He went, into villages, towns, or countryside, they placed the sick in the marketplaces.  They begged Him to let them touch even the edge of His cloak, and all who touched it were healed.”  Mark 6:56 (NIV)

EXPLANATION

These words are from the gospel, the good news regarding Jesus, The Christ, according to Mark, a companion Simon Peter.  Jesus and His disciples left Jairus’ house and went to His hometown.  When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue and all who heard Him were amazed.  They felt that they knew Him and could not understand how He became so wise, or how He was able to perform miracles.  They were offended by Him. (Mark 6:1-3)  That was when Jesus said, “A prophet is not without honor, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.” (Mark 6:4)  Then He went from village to village teaching and preaching. (Mark 6:6)  He called His disciples together and sent them out among the people, two by two, to teach and preach, to heal the sick, and to cast out demons. (Mark 6:7-13)  After John the baptizer was beheaded by Herod, (Mark 6:14-29) Jesus gathered His disciples together and crossed the lake by boat, but the crowd followed Him wherever He went, even to a remote countryside. (Mark 6:30-35)  This is where Jesus fed the five thousand men plus their wives and children with the two fish and five barley loaves of bread. (Mark 6:36-44)  After He sent the crowd away and told His disciples to cross the lake and go to Bethsaida ahead of Him, He went up on a mountainside to pray.  Later on that night, He joined them on the boat by walking on the water out to the middle of the lake. (Mark 6:45-52)  When they landed at Gennesaret, the people recognized Jesus and brought their sick to Him.  Wherever He went they brought the sick to Him.  They asked Him to touch them and heal them, or just let them touch the hem of His garment and be healed. Mark 6:53-56)

APPLICATION

Jesus, The Christ, was a healer and He healed all manner of illnesses, diseases, and disorders.  He healed whoever He touched, or whoever touched Him or His garments.  To touch or be touched by Christ changed a person.  Even today, Christ can change a person and heal a lost sin-sick soul.  Miracles can still be performed today in the lives of believers.  All healing, be it physical, psychological, or spiritual, is by the power of God.  To God be the glory!!!

WITH THE HELP OF THE LORD GOD

Proclamation:

“As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed Saul’s heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day.  When he and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; The Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he joined in their prophesying.”  1 Samuel 10:9-10 (NIV)

Explanation:

These words were written under the influence of The Holy Spirit of God by the prophet Samuel.  After The Lord God told Samuel that He had chosen Saul to lead Israel, Samuel conveyed this to Saul (1 Samuel 9:27) and then he anointed him king over all of God’s people. (1 Samuel 10:1)  Afterwards Samuel told Saul the events which would transpire after he left, and the people that he would meet when he left him. (1 Samuel 10:2-8)   The Spirit of God came upon Saul and he was changed.  He began to prophesy, then he led them in battle and was victorious over the Ammonites (1 Samuel 11:11) and the people made him king. (1 Samuel 11:14-15)

Application:

With the help of The Lord God, Saul went from being a frightened young man (1 Samuel 10:22-23) to being the victorious leader of an army and king of Israel.  Once we accept The Lord God into our life and become a true believer, we will change.  All things are possible with God. (Matthew 19:26, Mark 9:23, and Mark 10:27)  God can change us, and our behavior, such that everyone who knew us beforehand will see the difference in us.  The Lord God can use whomever He chooses in order to accomplish His purpose.

GOD CAN USE MIRACLES TO BLESS US AND FRIGHTEN OUR ENEMIES

Proclamation:

“Now when all the … kings along the coast heard how The Lord had dried up the Jordan before the Israelites until they crossed over, their hearts melted in fear and they no longer had the courage to face the Israelites.”  Joshua 5:1 (NIV)

Explanation:

These are the words of God which were written by Joshua under the influence of The Holy Spirit of God.  When the priests carrying The Arc of The Covenant stepped into the Jordan River, the water stopped flowing and they walked across on dry ground.  They stopped in the middle of the Jordan and stood on dry ground while all the Israelites walked around them into Canaan. (Joshua 3:17)  After the whole nation of Israel had crossed the Jordan, The Lord God told Joshua to send twelve men back to where the priest were standing and gather twelve stones.  These twelve large stones were carried back on their shoulders and set up, one on top of the other as a monument, where they made camp. (Joshua 4:1-9)  Then Joshua commanded the priest carrying The Arc of The Covenant to out of the Jordan and the waters returned to their place and resumed flowing. (Joshua 4:15-24)  When the people of Canaan heard how The Lord God had dried up the Jordan for the Israelites, they became afraid to face them. (Joshua 5:1)

Application:

The miracles that The Lord God preforms in our lives to make a way out of no way for us, can be the same miracles that strikes fear in the hearts of our enemies.  All we have to do is trust and obey Him, and our blessings will cause our enemies to become afraid.  The very blessing which The Lord God uses to encourage us, He can also use to discourage our enemies.  When we glorify Him and proclaim His goodness to us, we encourage the hearts of other believers, and The Holy Spirit of God can use that to cause non-believers to become upset and worried, or to become convicted, convinced, and converted.

THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS THE LOVE AND POWER OF GOD

Proclamation:

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.  1 Corinthians 1:18 (NIV)

Explanation:

These words were written by the apostle Paul, under the influence of The Holy Spirit of God.  Paul had heard that there was disagreement and division between the believers in the church at Corinth based upon which leader they were following. (1 Corinthian 1:10-12)  His message to them was that they should on one accord.  Christ was not divided.  They should focus on the message of the cross.  He said that the world may think that the message of the cross is foolishness, but those who are saved know that it is the power of God.

Application:

The cross symbolizes the crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.  It divides mankind into two groups, believers who are saved and non-believers who are not saved.  The message of the cross should not divide saved people, it should unite them.  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)  It was out of His love for us and His obedience to God, The Father, that Christ stayed on the cross. (Matthew 26:42 and Luke 22:42)  The fear and reverence of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom. (Psalms 111:10 and Proverbs 9:10)  Those of us, whom God has called to believe, know that all power and wisdom come from God. (1 Corinthians 1:24-25)  As we think about whom we are, what we have done, and what we have become, we know that all of it is due to the blessings from God. (1 Corinthians 1:26-31)  To God be the glory!!!

JUST THINK OF HIS GOODNESS IN THE PAST

Proclamation:

“I will remember the deeds of The Lord; yes, I will remember Your miracles of long ago.  I will consider all Your works and meditate on all Your mighty deeds.”  Psalms 77:11-12 (NIV)

Explanation:

The words of this psalm were written under the influence of The Holy Spirit of God by Asaph, who was the director of music appointed by King David.  The psalmist begins by expressing his distress and his concern that caused him to question whether The Lord had forgotten him. (Psalm 77:1-9)  Then he said, this is my lot and I know how I will deal with it.  He said that he would remember the previous actions and miracles that the Lord had performed and meditate on them.

Application:

When we are feeling down or depressed and it seems that The Lord has forgotten us, we need to remember His word and His promise that He would never leave us or forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)  We should reflect on the things that He has done for us, and for others, in the past and realize that He will make a way when there seems to be no way. (Isaiah 43:19)  We just need to trust in The Lord.  He will show us the way and provide a lamp unto our feet and a light on our pathway. (Psalm 119:105)  Remember, the wind and the waves of our storms obey His will. (Mark 4:39)  And, if He chooses not to calm the storms, He said that He would be with us and protect us through the storms of life.  Either way He does it, we win.

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

Proclamation:

"Jesus said unto him, ‘If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.  And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief."  Mark 9:23-24

Explanation:

These are the words of Jesus, The Christ, which He said to the man with his son who had a dumb spirit that the disciples of Jesus could not cast out.  The man had questioned the power of Jesus by saying “… if you can …” (Mark 9:22)  Jesus replied to the man by questioning his faith.  The man stated that he believed and then asked Jesus to help him by strengthening his faith.  After Jesus cast out the foul spirit from the boy, His disciples asked Him privately why they could not cast out that demon.  He said unto them, “This kind can come forth by nothing but prayer and fasting." (Mark 9:29)

Application:
It is possible to have faith but also to have an imperfect faith mixed with a little doubt.  This father's prayer was to confess his spiritual weakness and ask for Jesus to help him to have a greater faith.  The take home lesson here is that believers may need to have a greater faith.  The disciples needed to know that some demons are more powerful than others.  This is also a lesson that we all could learn.  Some things we want require that we pray and fast.  All things are possible if we truly believe.  If we had the faith of a grain of mustard seed we could move mountains. (Matthew 17:20)  Jesus said to His disciples during a storm, “O ye of little faith.” (Matthew 8:26)  He was also speaking directly to us today.  We are fearful of things when we shouldn’t be.  We worry about things when it is not necessary.  We are doubtful of things that we should be certain of.  We have faith in God but only a little faith mixed with a lot of doubt.  We should probably also pray, as that father did, and say, Lord, help my unbelief.

BLESSED ARE THE MEEK

Proclamation:

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 (NIV)

Explanation:

These are the words of our Lord and savior Jesus, The Christ, which He spoke to His disciples and to the surrounding crowd during His Sermon on the Mount as recorded by the Apostle Matthew.  The meek are the ones who quietly submit to The Lord.  They are silent or return a soft word when they are insulted or attacked.  The meek are happy in this life and in the life to come because they exercised self-control, the fruit of The Holy Spirit of God, and did not return evil for evil.

Application:

A lot of people mistake “meekness” for “weakness”.  The meek have the power to rise up and defeat others, but they choose not to use their power or strength.  Imagine a professional boxer who was hit by an average guy and the boxer just looked at him and walked away.  The boxer could have fought back and won but chose not to do so.  The meek are blessed of God.  They have an unseen source of power and strength.  The believer who is meek has not only his own physical strength, but he also has the power of God within him.  Their power is much greater than their physical strength.  That power is available to us as believers but if we exhibit the fruit of The Holy Spirit we will not have to use the power of God.   

THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Proclamation:

“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.  Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house … All of them were filled with The Holy Spirit …” Acts 2:1-4 (NIV)

Explanation:

These words were written by Luke, the physician and frequent traveling companion of the Apostle Paul, under the influence of The Holy Spirit of God.  Luke recorded the events which transpired on the day that the disciples received The Holy Spirit of God.

Application:

Some people believe that only the eleven apostles received power after The Holy Ghost came upon them.  However, The Bible says that in that upper room there were about 120 people (Acts 1:10-15) and they were all filled with The Holy Spirit of God. (Acts 2:3-4)  This power is not just for preachers but it is available to all believers.  After Peter preached his first sermon he said, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost ..." and about 3000 people gladly received his word and became disciples (students) of Christ. (Acts 2:38 and 41)  That number grew into a multitude.  Stephen, the first deacon, was full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, before the apostles laid their hands upon him and prayed for him. (Acts 6:3-8)  As Christians and believers in Jesus Christ, we have The Holy Ghost within us.  Our problem is we have a choice in what we do and say, and we do not let The Holy Spirit have control of our lives.  We want to be in charge.  My favorite example of this is to use a bus as an example. On the bus that is our life, we want The Holy Spirit to be a back seat passenger on the bus that we are driving, instead of us letting The Holy Spirit take charge and drive the bus.  We have the potential to do great things for The Lord.  We have the power of The Holy Spirit of God available to us, to help us to be a help to others.  We have the power within us, the question is what are we doing with it and what are we going to do with it?

FOR THE GLORY OF GOD

Proclamation:

"His disciples asked Him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’  ‘Neither this man nor his parents sinned,’ said Jesus, ‘but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him." John 9:2-3 (NIV)

Explanation:

These words were written by the Apostle John to record the conversation which occurred just prior to Jesus giving sight to a man who was blind from birth.  Jesus explained the situation to His disciples by saying that some times things happen to people so that God can use the situation in order to show others what He can do and so He can be glorified.

Application:

Sometimes bad things happen to good people.  We don't understand it and we often ask why it happened.  Let us not be so quick to complain about our situation, whether our bad choices led us to it or if it was the result of something over which we had no control.  We should act in a Christ-like manner regardless of the situation.  God is still in control.  Whatever it is, it can still serve a purpose.  Our negative situations can be used by God for His glory, for our benefit, or for the benefit of others.  Remember the Bible story about Job.  He was a God-fearing good man who was wealthy and lost everything that he had when God let the devil test him. (Job 1:1-22)  In the end, Job was blessed with twice as much as he had. (Job 42:10 and 12)  As Christians "... we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)  So let us live for the glory of God, no matter what happens.

KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE LORD AND YOU WON'T SINK

Proclamation:

"During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.  When the disciples saw Him walking on the lake, they were terrified.  ‘It's a ghost,’ they said, and cried out in fear.  But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I.  Don't be afraid.’ ‘Lord, if it's You,’ Peter replied, ‘tell me to come to You on the water.’  ‘Come,’ He said.  Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.  But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’  Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him.  ‘You of little faith,’ He said, ‘why did you doubt?’  And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.  Then those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, ‘Truly You are The Son of God.’" Matthew 14:25-33 (NIV)

Explanation:

This historical event and the words of Jesus, The Christ, were witnessed and written by the Apostle Matthew.  Not only did Jesus walk on water, He had the power to allow Peter to also walk on the water.  Peter was doing fine looking toward Jesus, but when he took his eyes off of The Lord he began to sink.  As he was sinking he prayed a powerful short prayer, "Lord, save me!"  Jesus heard him and immediately caught him.  All those who saw what had happened worshipped Jesus saying, "Truly You are The Son of God."

Application:

Jesus has the power to grant us what we ask for.  As long as we keep our focus on Him, by His power, we can do what others think is impossible.  Our problems begin when we take our eyes off of Him and focus on what is going on around us.  That is when we start to sink into sin.  Our God is bigger and more powerful than our problems.  There is no need for us to ever doubt Him.  We just need to have faith, pray, and keep our focus on The Lord, and He will get us through whatever it is that we are facing.

Help In The Midst Of A Storm

"And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now 
full ... And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, 'Peace, be still.'   And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm ... And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, 'What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?' "  Mark 4:37-41 (KJV)

These words of Jesus were recorded in the gospel according the John Mark, the cousin of Barnabas and travelling companion of the Apostle Peter.  The situation was such that, because of the large crowd on the shore, Jesus sat in the ship on the lake and taught the crowd. (Mark 4:1)  After He had taught them a number of parables, He said to His disciples, let us go across to the other side of the lake. (Mark 4:35)  As they were crossing  the lake a storm with strong winds arose causing waves that splashed water into the ship. (Mark 4:37)  The disciples were fearful and woke Jesus, and He calmed the wind and the sea by saying, "Peace, be still."  

The disciples, who were followers of Jesus, The Christ, and who were with Him at the time, did not really understand who He was or the power that He possessed.  They were in awe that the wind and the sea obeyed Him.  Many of the believers today who are followers of Christ do not understand the power which He has.  Jesus does keep us from some things, but He allows us to get caught up in some storms to show us that He can bring us through the storms. (John 16:33)  He can calm the storms in our lives, but He can also help us to overcome the storms. (Romans 8:37 and 1 John 4:4)  Jesus is always in control of the circumstances in our lives, and we can access His awesome power to deal with them if we believe, pray, ask for it, and have faith that it will be done. (John 14:13)  We need to trust Him to help us when storms hit our life.

Time Spent With The Lord Is Good

"Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to Him those He wanted, and they came to Him.  He appointed twelve, designating them apostles, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons."  Mark 3:13-15 (NIV)

John, whose surname was Mark, a companion of the Apostle Paul, addressed the gospel according to Mark to the Gentiles in Rome.  He depicted Jesus as a suffering servant of God, demonstrating the humanity of Christ.  Here John Mark records that Jesus called the twelve apostles, or disciples, another name for students.  He wanted them to be with Him, close to Him, in fellowship.   He wanted to give them authority, to share His power with them and to send them out into the world to preach and teach.  Jesus wanted companions that He could teach, and that would do His will.

We would all benefit if we spent more time with The Lord.  The disciples clearly benefited from the time that they spent with Jesus.  Today, we are His disciples.  We need to spend more time with His Word and in fellowship with Him.  As His disciples we are His students, and by our study of The Word of God, He can teach and train us.  Afterwards, He can bless us and share some of His power with us.  Then He can use us to spread His Word to others and be a blessing to them.  So let us make a commitment to spend a little more time each day in fellowship with, and learning from The Lord.  Let Him bless us and use us as He sees fit, according to His purpose.

Do You Know Who Jesus The Christ Really Is?

"In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of The Majesty in heaven. So He became as much superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is superior to theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, 'You are My Son; today I have become Your Father'? Or again, 'I will be His Father, and He will be My Son'? 6 And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says, 'Let all God's angels worship Him.' In speaking of the angels He says, 'He makes His angels winds, His servants flames of fire.' 8 But about The Son He says, 'Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has set You above Your companions by anointing You with the oil of joy." He also says, 'In the beginning, O Lord, You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment. This unknown author of the Books of Hebrews provides a brief description of who Jesus The Christ really is. While the description is not comprehensive, complete, or exhaustive, it presents His relationship to God, His involvement in the creation of the universe, the power of His word, His purification of our sins, His position in heaven, His relationship to the angels, His love of righteousness, His hatred of wickedness, and His eternal nature.

No one knows all about Jesus The Christ. The little that we know is that which is revealed to us in His Holy Word. However, if you do not know Him, or if you want a brief description of exactly who He is, then you should read chapter one of the Book of Hebrews.
