God Will Never Leave Us Or Forsake Us

"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."  Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)

The unknown author of the Book of Hebrews wrote to the scattered believers during their time of persecution and told them to be content and happy with that which they have been blessed with.  He also told them not to get caught up in the love of money and worldly possessions.  That whatever else that they have, they have The Lord God with them, and He will never leave them or forsake them.

We know that it is not money, but the love of money which is the root of all evil. (1 Timothy 6:10)  The love of money will cause many to sin and turn from God.  Therefore we are advised to be content with that which we have.  The Apostle Paul said " I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content." (Philippians 4:11)  It is better to have a little and have The Lord with us, than to have plenty of riches and not have The Lord in our life.  God is omni-present, He is every where all at the same time, (Psalms 139:7-10), so He is always with us.   So, regardless of how we may feel, or how bad our situation is, we are never really alone.  The Lord God is always with us and He will never leave us.  This was His promise to the believers of old, and it is His promise to us today. (Genesis 28:15, Deuteronomy 31:6 and 8, Joshua 1:5, 1 Chronicles 28:20, and Hebrews 13:5)

God Is Watching Us

"From heaven The LORD looks down and sees all mankind; from His dwelling place He watches all who live on earth; He who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do."  Psalms 33:13-15 (NIV)

The author of this psalm states that God, who made man, looks down from heaven and observes man, and He takes note of everything that man does.  The Creator not only sees, but He oversees and records all that man does.

Not only did God create the first man, (Genesis 1:27 and Genesis 2:7), He oversees the creation of every man. (Psalms 139:13-16)  He made us and He knows us.  God sits in heaven and sees all that we do, hears all that we say, and knows all that we think.  Additionally, there is a record being kept of this in heaven, and one day, we will each have to give an account for our  every thought, spoken word, and action. (Revelation 20:11-13)  We say, what happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas, but this is not true.  God sees it all and we will have to answer for it.  It is time for us to walk the Christian walk and not just talk the talk.  Let us let our behavior match our beliefs.  God is watching.

God Sees All And Knows All

"The eyes of The LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good."  Proverbs 15:3 (NIV)

King Solomon said that God sees every thing that is done, good and bad, every where that it is done.

This verse is a reference to the fact that God is omnisciencent, He knows all, omnipotent, He is all powerful, and He is omnipresent, He is everywhere all at the same time.  He sees, hears, and knows all about the saved saints and the lost sinners including their actions, words, and thoughts.  There is no place that we can go to hide from God. (Psalms 139:1-12)  Some of us naively believe that "what happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas."  We act as if God does not cross the state line.  That which is done in the dark will come to the light.  There is no need to attempt to hide from God, just confess your sins and ask to be forgiven.  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Seek Good Not Evil That You May Live

"Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then The Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say He is. Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps The Lord God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph. Therefore this is what The Lord, The Lord God Almighty, says: 'There will be wailing in all the streets and cries of anguish in every public square ... There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass through your midst,' says The Lord ... the day of The Lord ... That day will be darkness, not light." Amos 5:14-18 (NIV)

After lamenting to the people that they turned away from God, Amos calls them to repentance. Then he warns them that if they do not repent, they will suffer the wrath of God. There will be crying in the streets and suffering everywhere. The day of The Lord is coming.

There are people today who do not want to hear The Word of God. They are living in sin and want to continue to do so. Do not be one of those people, and do not associate with them. Confess your sins, believe in birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, The Christ, The Son of God, repent and turn from your sinful ways. Judgement day in coming.

God Knows What We Do Say And Think

"O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, You know it completely, O Lord." Psalms 139:1-4 (NIV)

God knows all that we do, all that we think, and all that we say. Nothing is hidden from Him. God is omniscient (knows all - 139:1-6), omnipresent (everywhere - 139:7-12), and omnipotent (all powerful - 139:13-18). He is worthy of our praise and our obedience. We should do more things that give God glory.
