Changed - Born Again

"In reply Jesus declared, 'I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again ... unless he is born of water and The Spirit.'" John 3:1-6 (NIV)

All Christians have two birthdays, the date of their physical birth and the date of their spiritual birth. With our physical birth, we were born into sin when we entered this world. With our spiritual birth, we are released from the penalty of sin when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

When we are born again, we undergo a spiritual transformation. We are a "changed" group of people who act, talk, and think differently because of the effect of The Holy Spirit upon our lives. We are not perfect, we make mistakes, and we still sin, but we are not as bad as we used to be. Hopefully, we are getting better, more Christ-like, each day because we have been born again.

Admit Being Christian, Don't Deny Jesus

"Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I will disown him before My Father in heaven." Matthew 10:32-33 (NIV)

Do not be ashamed to admit that you believe in Jesus The Christ. Do not deny Him in order to be accepted by people here on earth. If we deny Him now, He will deny us later.

Do your family and friends know that you are a Christian? They should not only hear you say it, but they should see you live like it.

Almost Is Not Good Enough

Not all who hear the word of God will accept it. Not even all who heard the apostle Paul preach the gospel accepted it.

King Agrippa said unto Paul, "Almost thou persuaded me to be a Christian." Acts 26:28

It is not our job to persuade people, we are just to tell them the good news. The Holy Spirit then convicts, convinces , and converts individuals as He deems necessary.

There are no "half-Christians", no "almost Christian", either you are or you are not. Either you believe or you don't. There is no sitting on the fence, you are either on one side or the other.

If you have not done so already, "... choose you this day whom ye will serve ..." Joshua 24:15
